Laphroaig Càirdeas is a limited-edition series released annually by Laphroaig to celebrate the Friends of Laphroaig community. Each release showcases a unique twist on the distillery’s signature peated style, experimenting with different cask finishes, aging techniques, or barley sources. While all expressions retain Laphroaig’s signature medicinal peat smoke, maritime brine, and rich sweetness, past editions have included Port and Madeira cask finishes, Quarter Cask maturation, and even floor-malted barley. Càirdeas, meaning “friendship” in Gaelic, is a must-try for fans of Islay whisky, offering a fresh take on Laphroaig’s bold character each year.
